Soayib Qureshi is an Advocate-on-Record at the Supreme Court of India and a senior lead member of the firm’s disputes practice, where he has spent the past decade helping to build and strengthen the litigation and arbitration vertical. His practice spans dispute resolution, constitutional law, service law, insolvency and bankruptcy, infrastructure disputes, and white-collar crime. He regularly appears before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, the High Court of Delhi, and domestic as well as international arbitration tribunals. Leading conglomerates and national publications frequently seek his advice on complex legal issues.    

Over the course of his practice, Soayib has acted in several high-value and precedent-setting matters. He has represented stakeholders in insolvency proceedings involving some of India’s largest corporate debtors, advised on restructuring disputes under the IBC, and handled constitutional challenges concerning legislative competence and fundamental rights. He has also appeared in major service law disputes involving appointments, promotions, and disciplinary proceedings before constitutional courts and tribunals. 

In the infrastructure and projects space, he has represented both private entities and public sector undertakings (PSUs) in contentious and advisory mandates. His experience includes disputes arising from EPC contracts, concession agreements, and construction and engineering projects. He has acted in construction arbitrations involving delay claims, cost overruns, performance disputes, and contractual interpretation. He has further been involved in white-collar investigations concerning corporate fraud and financial irregularities. 

He has established a reputation for handling both contentious and transactional mandates with equal proficiency, which enables him to provide strategic and commercially sound counsel to clients. 

Soayib has been recognised as a Litigation Star for Commercial & Transactions by Benchmark Litigation Asia Pacific (2025) and a Key Practitioner for Restructuring & Insolvency by Legal 500 Rankings (2025). He was also named a Future Star by Benchmark Litigation in 2024 and 2023, and his expertise in restructuring and insolvency was acknowledged by Legal 500 (2023). 

In addition to his professional practice, Soayib undertakes pro bono work with a focus on safeguarding the rights of economically weaker sections through the enforcement of constitutional remedies. He is a member of the Supreme Court Bar Association, the Supreme Court Advocates-on-Record Association, and the Delhi High Court Bar Association.
