Aakanksha Nehra has expertise in corporate and commercial laws with a focus on insolvency, corporate commercial advisory, corporate debt restructuring, and recovery proceedings. She regularly represents clients before the Supreme Court of India, High Courts across several states, and tribunals in Delhi NCR and Mumbai, with notable strength in company law, insolvency law, and education law. She has also been instrumental in facilitating settlements in complex litigations, earning a reputation as a pragmatic and solution-oriented counsel. 

Aakanksha has represented both government and private organizations, as well as a wide spectrum of stakeholders under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016, including promoters, resolution applicants, creditors, investors, and professionals. Her experience spans commercial advisory and litigation proceedings involving financial frauds, acts of mismanagement, shareholder and investor disputes, and intricate corporate governance issues. 

She has been recognized as a Future Star for Commercial & Transactions by Benchmark Litigation (2025 Asia Pacific) and as a Key Practitioner for Restructuring & Insolvency by Legal 500 (2025 Rankings). She has also been acknowledged by Legal 500 (2023). 

Beyond mainstream practice, Aakanksha has advised companies in alternative energy sectors, including solar and hydel power, and continues to counsel promoters in the e-commerce industry on issues relating to insurance, medical services, and allied business concerns.  

She holds a BSL LL.B. degree from ILS Law College, Pune. She is also actively engaged in pro bono initiatives, with a particular focus on protecting the rights of women in the workplace and addressing issues of medical negligence, reflecting her commitment to broader social justice.
